Q: How long will it take to hit my Nutrition/Weight goals?

A: That depends on many factors including where you are starting from and what your goals are. In general, for Nutrition Coaching you can plan on working together for about 6 months. It could be longer or shorter. And, ultimately it’s up to you. Since we work month to month you are not bound by a contract and you have the freedom to choose. My goal is to work with you to make behavior changes ONE SMALL STEP at a time. Research has proven that this is the most effective way to make real, sustainable change. Change that actually sticks! And that kind of change takes time and patience. But, it WORKS! That being said, I’m not offering a quick fix. And if you are interested in Personal Training also, the same thing applies.

Q: What do you think about GLP-1s?

There is no judgment here. GLP-1s are a tool. A tool that many people opt to use to help them in their weight loss journey. If you are currently using a GLP-1 or considering one, I would love to work with you. The truth is that you would definitely benefit from a Nutrition Coach and a Personal Trainer also, if you are interested. What I do is help you with Behavior Change! I help you build the habits that you need to sustain and maintain the weight loss for the rest of your life. And, if you are interested in Personal Training, I help you with building muscle through a customized training plan.

Q: Do you recommend a specific diet? Keto? Paleo? Mediterranean? Vegan? Etc…

No. I do not recommend one specific way of eating. I’ll work with you to identify what works best for you, your life, your budget, and your preferences.

Q: How are you different from a Registered Dietitian?

A Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in Texas is a food and nutrition expert who has met strict national and state-mandated requirements for education, supervised practice, and examination. They provide evidence-based nutritional care, medical nutrition therapy, and create personalized plans to manage chronic diseases. RDNs/RDs are highly trained professionals legally qualified to provide medical guidance. As a Nutrition Coach, I can work with your RDNs/Rds medical recommendations and help you apply it in your life.

Q: Can I use my HSA?

Unfortunately you cannot use your HSA toward nutrition coaching at this time.
